Legacy Secured

As July came to a close, Jill Ellis, the USWNT head coach, announced that she would be stepping down from the team. After an extremely successful coaching career, she’s using their Victory Tour as a send-off from her beloved USWNT.

Ellis was a head coach for five years starting in 2014 and led the team to two World Cup championships. Her teams broke records upon records and cemented her as one of the best coaches in soccer history.

As people criticized Ellis for coaching decisions over the course of her career, she proved many wrong time-after-time. She ultimately gained more experience through her various strategies and found ways to bring the team to back-to-back world championships.

Ellis’ success and accomplishments will continue to be celebrated throughout this summer. Her incredible 102-7-18 record will never be forgotten as she stands as one of the most decorated soccer coaches in U.S. history.
